Grounding

Description

Grounding can be defined as the process of reconnecting with your body and about becoming aware of the present moment, by connecting with our physical selves through our senses.

As humans we live busy cramming in as much as we possibly can in a 24 hour period, doing all the things we are supposed to do. Not to mention the reliance on technology that surrounds us, emitting it’s own frequency.

Even when we want to get off the treadmill we don’t, because there’s the mortgage to pay, kids school fees, new car to pay off… and the list goes on. We get to that point where we are so charged with positive ions things start to go wrong…not sleeping, overwhelm, inflammation, chronic disease etc. We are so far removed from one of the easiest ways to create some balance in our lives and that is grounding.

Simply take off your shoes and put your feet on the ground or hug a tree. The earth holds negative ions, so when we step on the ground barefoot, or hug a tree, we create a circuit for all the positive ions we attract from living, to move, as all energy is meant to do. The rubber soled shoes we wear insulate us from the ion exchange, so by getting down and dirty, placing your feet in the dirt you start to sleep better, pain and inflammation are reduced, as is overwhelm. It’s the same reason you always feel better after a day at the beach getting the sand between your toes.

This painting depicts just that. I ground daily as part of my routine and notice if I miss a day. I am once again back in touch with myself, very much calmer, and with clarity.

The colours used were earthy colours and the texture of the paint around the tree and the figures indicates energy lines – we are all just energy. After applying the paint from the tube thickly onto the canvas I used my fingers to create the energy waves. It felt very liberating, free and child-like.

Q. Are the prints sold framed or unframed?
A. All prints sold online are unframed unless otherwise specified.
I occasionally have framed prints for sale after an exhibition, and I will let you know via email when you subscribe to my mailing list.

Q. Are the prints sold with mounts?
A. No, print sold online are not mounted unless otherwise specified. If you need any advice about mounting, please ask.

Q. Is postage and packaging included in the price?
A. Yes, there is no extra cost to you as postage and packaging have been included in the price for purchase in the UK.

Q. How long do orders take?
A. Orders usually take about 2 weeks. Each print is made specifically to order, and is checked and packaged before being posted to you. If you need a print delivered more quickly, please ask and I will see what I can do.

Q. Do you accept returns?
A. If you are not happy with your order for any reason, please contact me by email within 14 days of receipt and explain why you would like to return the print(s).

You will be usually be responsible for return postage costs, and the print should be returned using a suitable insured Royal Mail service. Please do not touch the surface of the print as a damaged print cannot be sold to another buyer.
